"LAST AUDITION" is a shocking psychological survival suspense drama that exposes the lies and staging that lie behind the glamour of idol auditions.
On a night of thunder, nationally popular idol Akira (Seki Hayata) falls to his death from the roof of a building. Was it suicide, an accident, or murder? The truth remains a mystery. Following his brother's sudden death, his younger brother, Eiwa (SOUGO ITO / SUPER★DRAGON), loses sight of his own path. Guided by his brother's manager, Hosokawa Mariko (Hirayama Rino), of his brother's agency, ESSAY, he takes part in an audition program hosted by charismatic producer ES (Oshinari Shugo).
What awaited Nagaka there were tricks to deceive his mind, mysterious candidates, and a realistic performance hidden behind the "smiles."

"When I heard the theme was an idol audition program, I thought I would be shown the glittering images of idols, but it's actually a new type of suspense drama that depicts the complex human relationships that lie behind the scenes, so it's a work that can be enjoyed by examining it from various perspectives. It was my first time acting with members of the same group, so it felt a little strange, but it was reassuring to see how easily we could work together in acting. Aizawa Naoki, the character I played, is a cheerful young actor, but he is someone who is more passionate about the audition than most. Because of this, there were many scenes where his emotions were exposed, and there were times when I felt emotionally worn down while acting, but I was able to enjoy filming with my co-stars and staff."
