Sakurashimeji drama theme song "Someday Goodbye" will be released digitally!

The digital single "Itsuka Sayonara" will be released on Thursday, November 28th!

Thissong will be the theme song for TV Tokyo's Wednesday Drama 25 "Kapu Kapu" (starting at 1am on Wednesday, November 27th), which has already been announced to feature two members of Sakurashimeji in the lead roles!

The song was written by the members specifically for the drama, and Okamoto Kouki (OKAMOTO'S) participated in the arrangement. The simple band ensemble, with the memorable theme phrase played on a 12-string guitar, presents a new Sakurashimeji sound that has never been heard before.

This is a song that was created to enhance a road movie depicting two individuals on the brink of adulthood, titled "Kapukapu." I am honored to have been entrusted with the important role of the theme song.
Being a lead actor, I truly feel fortunate, and I am savoring this moment.
I hope that this message reaches those who are living in the present, feeling both anxious and hopeful about the future. I wish for everyone, whether they are watching a drama or have come from music, to feel excited.

When we first formed Sakurashimeji, we never imagined that the songs we created would become the theme song.
This song, which we started producing after receiving a request for a drama production, focuses on the theme of a "graduation trip" that appears in the story! It captures the anxiety and loneliness of going separate ways after the journey ends, as well as the courage to move forward despite that. We welcomed Koki Okamoto from OKAMOTO'S for the arrangement, resulting in a robust rock sound that is unlike any of our previous songs! I believe this also emphasizes the strength of moving forward on the journey! Please give it a listen!
